HORS ZONE DE CONFORT

Depuis un mois j'ai commencé une formation de 2 ans en Infographie...so far so good. J'ai le bonheur d'avoir 2 profs complètement géniaux...ce qu'il faut être généreux pour se donner autant à soit des jeunes de 17 ans qui sont très, très jeune, ceux dans la vingtaine...ah douce et arrogante vingtaine...et à une vieille de 47 ans comme moi !!!!

J'aime mon nouvel environement...j'aime l'encadrement...j'aime surtout l'apprentissage organisé d'une matière incroyablement complexe, dense et infiniment variée...moi, l'autodidacte de nature, j'aurais certainement passer une couple de vies à essayer de comprendre quelque chose de semblable.

J'aime beaucoup Illustrator et QuarkXpress même si je ne suis pas encore en zone de confort.

J'ai versé quelques larmes devant un bouquin de typographie...moi qui ai toujours barbouillée des lettres quand j'étais petite.

J'ai même dessiné une pomme au crayon à la mine...wow ! J'ai eu une autre idée de fou en pensant que quand je serai "vieille", je m'offrirais une année aux Beaux Arts juste pour mon plaisir personnel...un jour, dans ma soixantaine si la Vie veut bien m'offrir ce bonheur.

Pour le moment, Merci à la Vie de m'offrir cette formation qui, j'espère, m'apportera de beaux moments créatifs et du $$$$$$$....n'ayons pas peur des mots !!!

I acted so sure of myself but I had no idea what was coming up for me....do we ever?

.... we kissed...a kiss loaded with tenderness, longing, hunger, thirst...a kiss loaded with promises...words loaded with all kisses meant for each other...one step at a time our lips would seal...from across the world we are meeting halfway...we met..finally we have met...

Each morning, as i opened my eyes, he was there holding up his hand for our daily dance...my middle of the night sleeplessness coincided with his good morning....my good morning was his afternoon siesta....one step at a time we dance our way through the songs of our lives...one step front, one step back, one step to the left then to the right...

it felt so right........we fitted so right together...we were in sync...we were dancing a perfect tango...there was no way the painter could do the final scene of the trilogy

but, never take Life for granted.......

One day, maybe 3 weeks ago, the music abruptly ended....a big scratch of the needle on the surface of the old vinyl record....screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech......

The echo of the music is still ringing in my ears, i've lost a shoe, my dress is torn and i've been left standing in the middle of the dance floor singing "why"...... I've been singing it for 3 weeks now and i'm still in the middle of the dance floor, somewhat, lost.

One step at a time, I must look for the Exit door

CAR SE STATIONNE...

La décision a été longue et difficile à prendre mais j'ai décidé que CAR se doit de prendre un temps d'arrêt dans un aire de repos avant d'entreprendre son prochain trajet.

Je commence une formation qui me sera bénéfique à la poursuite du voyage et j'ai envie de passer en mode création aussi.

Je maintiens mes activités en Art Postal, par contre.

JE VEUX REMERCIER TOUT LES ARTISTES ET ARTISANS AYANT PARTICIPÉ AU SYMPOSIUM DE PEINTURE, DÉESSES ET LES DIEUX, ART POSTAL ET BIJOU. CE FÛT UN PLAISIR DE TRAVAILLER AVEC VOUS! CETTE ANNÉE, CAR A VOYAGÉ DE RAWDON À TORONTO, DE JOLIETTE À CHARTRES POUR ENSUITE SE DÉPLACER EN CROATIE!

APPROXIMATIVEMENT 150 PERSONNES ONT EU LE PLAISIR DE CONSTATER L'EXTRAORDINAIRE TALENT DES ARTISANS DE LA RÉGION. 10 ARTISANS DE LA RELÈVE ET PROFESSIONELS ONT PRÉSENTÉ LEUR COLLECTION ESTIVALE À LA BOUTIQUE RUE DES BEAUX ARTS DE JOLIETTE. MERCI TOUT LE MONDE!

WHAT A SEASON!

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL ARTISTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE PAINTING SHOW, GODDESSES AND GODS, MAILART AND THE JEWELRY SHOW. IT WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH ALL OF YOU. THIS YEAR CAR TRAVELLED FROM RAWDON TO TORONTO, FROM JOLIETTE TO CHARTRES THEN TO CROATIA.

THIS WEEK END WAS THE JEWELRY SHOW AND APPROXIMATELY 150 PEOPLE CAME TO WITNESS THE EXTRAORDINARY TALENTS OF LOCAL JEWELRY DESIGNERS. 10 ARTISTS, FROM BEGINNERS TO PROFESSIONALS, WERE THERE TO INTRODUCE THEIR SUMMER COLLECTION AT THE BOUTIQUE RUE DES BEAUX ARTS IN JOLIETTE.THANK YOU EVERYONE.

I WANT TO MENTION THE INCREDIBLE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM MARIE FRANCE AND ROBERT, OWNERS OF RUE DES BEAUX ARTS. THEY HAVE TRUSTED AND BEEN VERY GENEROUS TO ME AND MY PROJECTS SINCE THE BEGINNING IN 2005.THANKS!

ART POSTAL ET LA QUINZAINE DU LIVRE DE LANAUDIÈRE

CAR présente tout les mailarts reçus de la dernière année et qui sont présentés sur le blog http://car-mailart.blogspot.com, les mailarts d'artistes québécois qui ont participé à l'expo FESTIVAL de 2009 ainsi qu'une historique de la Circulaire 132 de RF Côté, un magazine mensuel de mailart édité par Réjean François Côté de Québec.

C'est donc un Rendez-Vous de correspondances artistiques à la Boutique Rue des Beaux Arts situé au 107 Place Bourget Nord à Joliette du 16 au 30 avril 2010.

BIJOU !!! - ÉDITION 2010

J'ai plaisir à vous aviser que l'exposition BIJOU - ÉDITION 2010 sera présentée les 22 et 23 mai 2010.

Veuillez prendre note du changement du lieu de l'exposition. Elle aura lieu à la Boutique Rue Des Beaux-Arts, 107 Place Bourget nord au centre-ville de Joliette.

Les heures de l'exposition seront le samedi de 8h30 à 17h et le dimanche de 11h à 17h. Le montage se fera dès 8h le samedi matin. Un bistrot est disponible sur place. Les frais d'inscriptions sont de 35$ et l'espace offert est une table de 30"X 60". Les frais pour une table supplémentaire sont de 15$ et, svp, doit être réservée lors de l'inscription.

The gallery was honored to have internationally recognized collage artist and lecturer, Jonathan Talbot, as our juror of awards.

Mr. Talbot spent several hours with the work and has now chosen the 10 Featured Artists. He found it extremely difficult to make the final decision, as so much of the work is outstanding. However, after long deliberation he made his announcement.
